For those who have served our nation, from the battlefield to the homefront, every story deserves to be told. The volunteers at Missouri Veterans History Project aim to collect these treasured stories allowing the U.S. Library of Congress and the State Historical Society of Missouri to preserve history and make the stories accessible to future generations.
To date, MVHP volunteers have collected over 1,000 interviews from Veterans. We thank all those who have shared their unique experiences and appreciate the time our volunteers have spent listening and recording countless tales of American heroism.
Each Veteran receives a copy of the interview to share with their family and friends.
MVHP volunteers from across the State of Missouri conduct video interviews with Veterans from any war or peacetime service. Our volunteers donate their time and expertise as they preserve history one story at a time.
A special note of appreciation for the financial contributions made that allow us to continue to record oral histories of Veterans across Missouri. State employees can donate to MVHP during the Missouri State Employee Charitable Campaign using the code 4081.
